I hope to pick up my Stryker soon. Wondering if any one has any tips or hints or major differences you might care to share? I'm currently riding a Suzuki C50. Obviously the engine is much bigger, the weight, the front end - wondering if anyone can offer some words of advice. I'll have to ride her 50 miles to get her home from the dealership, and she won't be lowered for another week or so after I bring her home.

TIA!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on being the owner of one of the newest most awesome muscle chopper class cruisers on the market today. You will be extremely pleased with this bike. It has a totally different feel than the c50 so just take it easy till you get used to the way it handles and the power. The Stryker really is only about 45 more lbs than C50 and it probobly will actually feel lighter but it will be much much more powerful. The gears will be taller so you will have to get used to faster take offs

hey, I upgraded from a 05 c50 to a stryker. Big difference betweeen the two. The strykers seems heavier, handles totally different be careful. The stryker takes turns totally different, can not take tight turns like you can with the c50. Big power difference, there is about a total gear difference between the 2 bikes. The ride is smoother, but in lower gears 1 and 2 the c50 is smoother once you get up in the gears and on the gas more the stryker out handles the c50. I would not go back to the c50 after you get use to the stryker. Took awile to get use to it but i love it now!! good luck and enjoy!!

I have to agree with Joemv2011, I went from a M50 to a Stryker which the M50 is realitively the same as a C50. The Stryker is heavier and the turning is much different. The Stryker is meant to be ridden like you stole it in my opinion. The road imprint of the Stryker while a bigger bike feels smaller then the C50/M50 because it is stretched out more so balancing on start of for me was a little issue at first. Gears 1 and 2 like he said can be a little fineky and just takes time to get a rythm/pattern in using the clutch and throttle. I assume it's new, you will probably have to adjust your clutch and throttle, my clutch wouldn't completely return after pulling it in a simple adjustment on the bars did the trick and the throttle started to have some play in it as well again a simple adjustment on the bars. All stuff you should check after riding a bit anyway since everything tends to work it self in. Check your radiator cover bolts, mine loosened up after a bit and I just took them out and tossed some loctite on them.

Thanks everyone. We brought her home last night. It was an adventure - 30mph winds, gusts of 40 with no windshield, 50 miles from dealership to the house. My neck muscles were so sore when I got home. But I think I'm in love. :)

There is a big difference in weight - it's an adventure getting her up off the kickstand. The turns were definitely different. And the gear ratio will take some getting used to. It was so windy yesterday that I could barely hear the engine over the roar of the wind in my ears. But I really do think I'm in love.

My wife finds getting it off the stand challenging as well. Not sure how you are doing it, but she was trying to do it while sitting down. I told her to stand up and pick it off the stand - she found that helped.

Anther good tip i learned is to turn the handlebars all the way to the right before bringing off the stand. You will see that it is much easier than lifting if with the handlebars turned to the left.
