Have you gotten used to the volume change? It took me a little while.
Not for me. I still rev the crap out of the bike because it sounds so awesome. :)
I did that behind a cop in my lil town. Then I cut through a little side street as he was speeding to round the block and intercept me. By then I was up in my garage laughing as he blew right by. Dumb little piggie lol

How does it sound? I was going to go with the Vance and Hines Big radius and the ceramic black, but I'm wondering about how they sound?

No offense to anyone on here, but it was funny to me because I didnt do a **** thing wrong. So I racked the pipes a little bit....big deal. The guy was just trying to hassle me and I knew it. Cops in my little town don't have enough to do

And You were'nt Hassling Him? LOL
no i actually wasnt. i did it because i had just installed the pipes and i was just goofing around. it wasnt like he was right in front of me.....he was probably a quarter block ahead. i was indifferent to the cop. I really dont think he couldve done anything to me about it.....it wasnt late and I didnt rack them really loud. Im sure he was just going to read me the riot act and let me know who the boss was. The black stryker was just to fast and slippery for him lol

That's Cool! Most Cops here in this area are good guys and are normal folk. I ride bikes and target shoot with some present officers and some retired. All good friends!

I'm not a cop hater at all. One of my closest friends and one of my duck huning buddie's are cops. They work in a neighboring bigger city though. The little small town cops can be the one's that are jerks....usually because they have been kicked out of bigger city depts and can't get commissioned anywhere else.

I have to agree with you immortal. In my little town they are jerks....and don't normally stick around long ;D
Oh yeah....I am thinking about taking out my baffles too and am really curious about how they would sound.

No problems in my area. Half the officers in my dept. ride, as well as the surrounding cities and we all feel a bike is never too loud.

For those of you who are going to Bike Week, Daytona Beach has had to deal with complaints from the locals for years about the noise of the motorcycles during Bike Week and they tend to crack down on bikes that have no baffles. It is not uncommon to see police with a 3 foot piece of wood stopping loud bikes and sticking the wood up the pipe to see if there is a baffle. You are especially vulnerable if you have no baffles and like to rev the **** out of your bike. Just a word of warning.
