I have never done mods before (been without bike for a while). One of my big things that I want to do to my Stryker, is get rid of chrome. Not a fan. I had never heard of Plasti Dip before. When I saw the pic of your bike, I was blown away. That is beautiful. How do you do it? Do you have to take stuff apart or just paint it on? Any tips are halpfull.

Thanks.

Do a youtube search for "DipYourCar". Its a spray on process. I ordered the 1 gallon prokit, it gives a much better finish than doing it with spray cans. I took the all the "tins" off of the bike, cleaned them and sprayed the Plasti-Dip. Best part about this stuff is there is no prep other than cleaning, and if you get tired of it you just peel it off in a big sheet of plastic/rubber. Does not harm the paint underneath at all.

be **** sure not a drop of fuel touches any part of the dip. It destroys it quick fast and in a hurry. Found that out the hard way, ended up having to peel the remaining dip off and paint much sooner than planned

I like the PlastiDip for what it is but I find it's not that durable. Durable and removable don't seem to co-exist. Go figure. I would not do the engine covers with it unless you wanted to see what the "blacked out" looks like knowing its reversible and that there is very high likely hood you are going to have to redo it over with paint.

Yeah I saw your post about that. Being VERY careful when I fuel up. Hey Redlight, I'm gonna be in Red Deer on June 19 for the Kids with Cancer Charity ride. We should get together for a beer:canada:
