So i am taking a bike trip to Loveland CO next week for the Thunder In The Rockies. Some of the rides that are being escorted out have been told to us that if we go are deemed "Level 5" roads.

what is a Level 5 road?

I would assume (yes I know what that word means) its like the rating for white water rapids. Where 1 is a nice refreshing trip to 5 which is holy **** we gonna die.

And dont forget they use the same scales (1-5) for tornados and hurricanes.

I would say road 5 means it is completely unpredictable of what the road condition will be. It is most likely a very intense twisty, curves road that is for experienced riders only.

LOL oh yikes! You mean like the roads I learned to ride on... around here...
These roads are very technical and you never know what shape they will be in from one ride to the next even if you ride every day... Our road gnome community is very large and extremely active. I think someone feeds them after midnight ;)
