Whats up guys? Hopefully someone could help me. Ive upgraded my exhaust to cobra power swepts and the cobra power flow and I'm getting a little popping sound on decel and I'm wondering what it could be. I also have a power commander v without auto tune. When I first bought the bike I had the dealership install the pipes and power commander so and the problem was still there but I had bad experience with them so I refuse to go back if anyone has anything they could tell me about it it would be greatly appreciated

Are you referring to the backfiring on decel? That's pretty normal, and infact it happened in stock pipes but it was too baffled to really ever hear it.

Yeah I guess it is backfiring its not a major problem just was hoping it wasn't anything big. Thanks for the reply

This is completely normal. In order to get rid of all the popping on decel you'd actually have to de-tune the engine which would obviously hurt performance and efficiency.

I've noticed that the backfiring happens more often if I let the bike decelerate, then accelerate shortly after. I still get backfiring outside of that, but it seems louder or more often if I do the acceleration right after letting her coast for a few seconds. Hope that makes sense. Kinda hard to explain over text...

I had my dealer put the Cobra swepts and PCV. and the map the used was for stock exhaust and intake. They have a couple maps on the PC WEBSITE. I used the Cobra swept with spear air cleaner. Still pops on decel but not to bad.
