Well, today I drove my baby to work to set it on the resale lot on base. Sad day for me even though I have another motorcycle in my garage that I love. My other bike is a Kawasaki Z1000 that I've had for just a couple weeks and put about 1k miles on it (is it possible to ride too much? ;D).

After not riding the bike much in the past couple of weeks and being on the Z so much some observations:
1. It's so dang comfortable cruising. On the Hwy around 70 it's got a very stable feeling.
2. My mustang seat is flippin awesome. Can I put that on my Z? Heheh.
3. I thought the bike was pretty quick (as far as cruisers go) but now feels like pond sludge compared to the Z.

I would LOVE to keep both bikes, but can't really afford to. The Stryker is my 6th motorcycle and easily one of my favorites.

Now, for my question: What's a fair price? Here's a link to my Craigslist ad:

Thanks everyone. This is a great forum.

It maybe a bit low IMHO as the asking price of a local dealer does not consider freight, setup, title fees and all that jazz. If you were not on the other side of Coast we'd have a deal today as i think this is a great deal. A similiar bike was for sale here in CAin the LA area for 9500 and sold quickly. You may have it priced to sell fast but as many might agree these low ball deals de-value the resale value of the Stryker in general.

Some of my work involves sales and I can say its often all about timing. The Stryker is still a relatively new product and until 4 months I ago I thought I wanted a Harley until I discovered the Stryker because HD had the cruiser market or so I thought. There are a ton of used bikes out there and you are selling to a only a portion of the potential market with it being a crusier as you know since you have converted over. $8400 is very reasonable and it is still prime riding season so I think you will have no problem. Just remember to keep listing it every three days or so on CL or you quickly sink to the bottom with so many others posting. Again I wish you were closer. Good luck.

Humm. Well, I've had it on CL for about 2 weeks and received 3 emails, but nobody real interested in it yet.
To be honest, your ad doesn't really sell it. You sound a little defensive as a seller and difficult to deal with. Keep it short and sweet and NEVER accept money orders! Consider writing the ad something like this:

For sale is my 2011 Yamaha Raven Stryker 1304cc V-twin. Garage kept, perfect condition and never been down with all highway miles. Selling because I have other bikes and I don't use this as much anymore. Only 2,100 original miles on the Odo, maintenence is up to date, tires/brakes are xx%. Pink slip in hand. KBB values it at $8380, yours for $8400 OBO with all installed accessories. Please, no low ball offers. (If you want the stock seat and not the mustang seat (pictured below) then it's yours for $8,000 OBO). Cash and local sales only. Email me or txt me at eight5zero 9zero25674. Thanks for looking!

Aftermarket Accessories:
-Mustang 2 piece wide touring (MSRP $509)
-Kuryaken ISO grips (black , $71)

Other extra's available:
-Smoked midnight boulevard windscreen ($160) new, not installed

Updated add with your suggestions and added some more pics! (just noticed the pics haven't shown up yet, hopefully it worked...)
Good luck! Much better pics! You might want to consider bumping your ad and making a new post. If your CL is anything like ours, your ad is already 10 pages back.

Krazzy mike you forgot Headturner and Harley Smoker!!
Haha you're right. I might leave out the bit about Harley smoking as it denoted the bike has been raced. AND since there's a huge Harley following out there, you don't want to alienate any potential buyers.

I had to hit refresh before the new pics showed up for me, but they are there.
