Normally when I hit the starter, it will fire up after .5 - 1 seconds. But this morning it seemed like the starter was having a rough time - almost like the battery was nearly dead. I just rode it yesterday so I know the battery didn't loose it's charge. Same thing happened when I fired it up to go to lunch a few hours ago. Anybody else ever experience this?

Never had the problem with my Stryker. I have a similar problem with my Kawasaki if I try to start it in neutral with the clutch pulled in. I haven't tried that with my Stryker so that might be a slim possibility.

Sounds like you might possibly have a bad battery, but hard to tell on just the information provided without some troubleshooting. Be carefull and get it checked right away. Don't wan't to be left stranded anywhere, that would royally suck.

Do you ue a battery tender between rides? I was at a rider safety course over the weekend and they talked about using a charger to extend battery life. I wouldn't think that the battery would be an issue with a newer bike if everything was functioning properly.

I had a battery die on my VTX that left me stranded. I finally had the idea of having someone give me a push across the parking lot. I put it in 1st gear and popped the clutch. Bike fired right up. I was running just off the alternator all the way home but it got me there.
