I’ve been wondering about this… I know from experience on the race track that if you are going to push the bike in high-speed turns your suspension needs to be stiffer or it will give out/wash out on you. I have my rear shock spring stiffened up to #7 setting. I would be very interested in changing out the fork springs. Usually they have settings as well so you can dial them in to personal preference. VICARC it would have been good to include a link to the Progressive springs in your initial post, do you have that link? Would like to take a look. thnx

You’re right it doesn’t tell us much. Sure would be nice to get a write-up review of some specifict differences after install on the Stryker. To be honest thought I think I would do this mod sight unseen, based on my past experience with Progressive on sport bikes. As for whether or not you notice a difference I think that is going to depend on how hard you ride. If you’re just a cruser then you might not notice the difference. That’s my guess..

I put on my 2012 Stryker. The ride is a little softer, which is what I was looking for. You adjust the ride by changing the length of the spacer at the top of the spring. Progressive called for a spacer length of 6". I ended with a length of 5 3/4" which makes the ride softer. If you want a stiffer ride make the spacer longer. If you are looking for a softer ride you could also experiment with changing the length of the existing spacer on the existing springs.
I was trying to soften the ride with the tire pressure set at the recommended pressures. The dealers keep wanting to lower the tire pressure to obtain a softer ride. But this results in more tire wear, more tire friction that hurts gas mileage and a mushy feel when cornering.
I also put on the Progressive rear mono shock. I am now satisfied with the ride. But changing the rear shot setting is a real pain.
