Anyone ever use one of these? I haven't settled on a new light yet. Looks a little weird from the front to me. Wondering if the performance is that much better than a regular lens.

It looks like the aspherical lens we use on our search lights. It projects the light like a laser for a direct spotlight effect. I wouldn't recommend it for riding as you will lose the flood effect you need to see more of the road ahead.

I looked at the light a little more and its hard to tell if it has a flat lens surrounding the dome which may help provide a flood around the beam. If that is the case it may work for riding if not it looks like you should be able to switch it out to a standard lens.

Also note that it is a 4 3/4 light that most on the forum found to be too small. Most of us went with the 5 3/4.

I believe the consensus is that the 4.75" is too small for the Stryker. I made my own using a 6" bucket...

I was mainly referring to the projection light and not the overall size. Just wondering if anyone has used a light like this. I ended buying this one on ebay today. It's 5.75" x 9"

Haha Nate, I totally forgot yours was a projection light. I'll know it's you when I see you coming with that zillion candlepower light lol
