They already have that law here in Vegas. Not just for motorcycles either. It mainly applies to the turn lanes. I have sat a light through three swaps with no turn arrow. We just have to make sure it is clear and go. Done it in front of cops with no issues.

We can turn right on red lights in Texas. I've had issues tripping the light sensors with bikes...I've safety gone through after waiting a long time.

Same here in Florida right turns on red, and I hv as well took reds after not triggering sensors.

Don't know if that law is a good idea though.

I sat thru 2 swaps yesterday on my wife's Ninja then went (left turn) when it was clear. My Stryker is way more light friendly than the Ninja. We can turn right on red here in Oregon unless a sign is posted saying no right on red. Left on red into a one-way is ok too.

hmmm i hope Florida follow. theres a light by my house that i can not trip. one day i got so fed up that i just took a right then turned into a bank and cut thru the lot and went on my way lol

I added a magnet to my ninja and it helped allot. Most of the sensors are magnetic and not weight trigured. Bought mine at the local bike shop, but ebay carries them for like $10 last I looked.

it detects metal. the weight of the bike isnt the problem its trying to see the wires that will trigger the light. theY arent ran side to side. they are rectangle in the middle of the lane. some are visable some arent.

I had zero problems after I installed the magnet. I had the same problem with the exit gate to my community openning for me before install and that was solved too.

I have heard that in the older days some bikers would hang a piece of metal or attatch it to the bottom of their bikes so that the magnet could detect it. And I don't think the law was refering to turning right on red but if your sitting there for a long time. I think its like ten minutes or something like that. And if you just try blasting through a red light you will either go to jail or the morge.

There are a couple of intersections near my house that I wasn't able to trigger with some of my previous sport bikes, but I can now trigger them with my Stryker......
Probably just a weight difference between them where the Stryker was just enough to trigger it I assume.....

Minnesota here, we can go through a red light if we have sat there an Unreasonable time, yada yada... nobody at intersection. I get some odd looks sometimes lol

I used to site there FOREVER! Now I can just go.

in oklahoma we can now proceed on red in any direction as long as there is no approaching traffic, dont even have to wait as long as there is NO approaching trafffic, have done it a few times..........

Minnesota has the law. If the light doesn't trigger after 1 cycle you can run it.

In saskatchewan if you dont get a green light there better not be a cop nearby. Kinda sucks
