Hi all,
I just purchased my first motorcycle, a 2011 Raven Stryker with 700 miles, and I love it! Ive been reading posts on here for quite some time, and i think you guys and gals are awesome! Anyway, I have a question that has been beat to death, but I havent found the exact answer I'm looking for. My bike has a Baron BAK that was on it when I bought it. I know when you have the intake, you need a tuner if you go with aftermarket exhaust, but do you need one if you just drill the 4 1/2" holes in the back of the muffler? I want the bike to sound good, but i'm waiting a while before I start throwing all sorts of money at the thing. My plan is to ride it the way it is (with better sounding exhaust of course) for the rest of this summer, and tearing into the bike this winter. If anybody could tell me if I definitely need a tuner or not if I was to drill the exhaust, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You'll be just fine running that setup without a tuner. Drilling 4 1/2" holes doesn't really increase flow anyhow...just makes it sound nice. Also, many run a BAK + exhaust without a tuner and have no issues. Every bike is different...many variables come into play like temperature, humidity, elevation, ect.

I agree as long as you don't core out the Catalytic convertor.
