Just had my 600m service done 2wks ago at the Yamaha dealership. My 1st service was thrown in free because I bought an extended 4yr warranty. But I saw the service invoice for $165.44 which they billed to the sales department.
I made my appointment 1wk in advance and got it in-n-out in 2 ½ hrs. I was very happy with this service.

I did mine myself...the 600 mile service is the easiest one to do.
+1. My dealer wanted close to 300.. cost me 30 in oil / filter.

Anyone else get this done at their Yamaha dealer? No, don't really trust any of the dealers in my area. I have dealt with both in the past.

What was the out the door price for your 600 Mile Service? I spent about $50.00 doing it my-self.

How long did it take to get your bike back? Took about 1-1/2 hours then went for a ride.

Mine is claiming valve adjustments and so forth, not just an oil change. I can change oil... **** I am an engine machinist by trade but I have never worked on motorcycles before.
you need to run!!!! the service manual clearly says no valve adjustment until 16,000 miles on our bikes. your dealer is lying to you and ripping you off.

The only adjustments i made was the clutch cable was a bit loose (it wasn't snapping back to rest position after a long stop light)

I brought mine into the dealer for the 600 mile service. Paid $115 which I know is too much but being my first bike I really wanted the peace of mind that they went through it all. Dealer was prety cool about it and let me sit down with the mechanic as he was working on my bike. He talked me through what he was doing and what I should be checking on my own going forward. I don't plan on bringing it back in to the dealer for many many miles as I'll do the maintenance going forward. Now that I think of it.....that was probably the best $115 I've ever spent. Just my 2 cents.

I took it to my local dealer and had my 240 put on at the same time. Long story short, I paid 200.00 for the maintenance and the one hundred something point inspection and had to wait till the next day. I am riding home in the evening and wham, lights out! I get home with no lights but my head light get off the bike and realize the my tension plates in the rear dont have any bolts and one was missing competely.

Next day, they picked it up and they "fixed" all the issues. Never refunded me a penny.

Conclusion: I am not a mechanic, "neither is Yamaha", so I will always learn and do all my services from this point on.

In addition, I have had to educate my dealership on what will and will not work on stryker mods, based on everything I learned from our Forum Family.
