I was wondering if anyone has Kuryakyn stirrups on their Stryker. If so, are you happy with them? My last couple of bikes have had floorboards, but thought the stirrups would be interesting.

One more question. Has anybody relocated their horn on the Stryker? If so, where did you relocate it to?

Thanks

I relocated my horn under one of the bolts that hold the master cylinder on. Just put a slight bend in the factory horn bracket. It tucks up under there nicely and with no modification to the wiring. I'll upload some pics when I get a chance if you would like

I have the kuryakyn stirrups, never used floorboards so can't compare but I like the stirrups. Having two contact points on my foot makes it feel like a floorboard would I imagine.

They do take some getting used to, as I've found my natural position changed to use the stirrup where before I would rest the top of my heel on the main footpeg, which made my toes closer to the brake and shifter than they are now that my foot is farther back.

But the benefit is my toe is no longer wedged underneath the brake and shifter and I feel like I can downshift and brake easier and faster now.

Thanks gravitas. I was hoping to hear from someone with the stirrups. When I emailed Kuryakyn about the Kuryakyn stirrups for the Stryker, I asked what part number I would need and the adapter. He told me they did not make this part for the Stryker. I told him it was listed on the Yamaha site.

I think I will try these instead of the boards.

If you have the adapter part number could you post it? If not that is OK. I'll find one at the dealer.

Thanks

I found that Kuryakyn tech support didn't know dick about Stryker's. They have given me bad info more than once.

I bought the stiletto footpegs with the stirrups and they were just for HD. I had to buy a 2nd pair of stirrups and use those with an adapter to use my stilettos.

Its OK though because I ended up using the pegs on the stirrups I got from the first order. I will post pictures soon to show you I don't want to ruin it ;)

I also ended up buying a 2nd set of stilettos to replace the rear footpegs so they match.

I should be getting it back from the dealer tomorrow. Had some winter work done to it.

Thanks gravitas. +1 on Kuryakyn tech support. They told me they do not make and will not make any backrests for the Stryker and that the stirrups will not work on the Stryker. The guy I talked to actually said they really don't have anything for my bike. Interesting.

I'll be at the dealer on Saturday and see if I can get a pair with adapters etc. They have an extensive line of Kuryakyn accessories.

I'd definitely like to see some pics if you can post.

Thanks again. :)
