Sorry to hear about the loss of the bike, and I am glad you are ok. And yes insurance companys can be dicks. Good luck picking out your next bike. Me i like the bagger, but sure wish i had the Stryker or Raider. 8) I ride a 09 Roadliner, with bags, and just like the feel. had a chopper in the mid seventies, but had more stright up bike and just like having the floor boards.

People texting while driving is more dangerous than drinking and driving. They really need to do more than a $250 fine for offenders especially here in SD. I've been riding a little over 2 weeks and have almost been hit by drivers texting 6 times. Glad to hear your ok, but not glad to see you won't be replacing your Stryker!

Glad you're alright.

One thing I will say is both of my insurance companies have been real good to me. For motorcycle, Dairyland Insurance covers $5000 in aftermarket parts and they even cut a check before the final settlement for a replacement motorcycle helmet when I got into my wreck. The final settlement was extremely fair and I'm using them again thanks to my good experience with them.

AAA for auto insurance has also been very pleasing to deal with. My wife totaled her Sequoia after rolling it and it was settled in under three weeks. Again, the settlement was extremely fair, and again I'm using them for my BMW.

Quite literally, it is "adding insult to injury" to have to deal with shady insurance companies. It's why I will never use Farmers Insurance Company. They were absolutely horrendous.

Glad your ok. I just bought a raider a few months ago and I love it. I came off a honda 1100 to the raider and it is a different ride for sure. I have never rode a Stryker yet but the Raider has a stretched out riding position. The first time I rode one I wasn't sure that I liked it but I bought one anyway, now I actually really like the seating position and the bike rides great.

i too jsut got hit about 2 weeks ago. my insurance company (progressive) is paying for my totaled bike even though it was the other guys falt (he t-boned me). they are treating me very well and i expect a check monday. to my understanding (my ins. rep. explained it to me like this)... your insurance co will pay you for the damage and they fight it out with his insurance co and/or him (if he has ****ty insurance). now im in kinda the same situation as you (except i need walkers and crutches to get around my house and not alowed to drive or put any kind of pressure on my right foot for awile) looking to replace the stryker, this is very hard decision for me but i have all winter to make up my mind now. really glad you were able to walk away from a situation like that ! let us know what your thinking is worthy of a good replacement, im mot having much luck finding any
