Hello everyone. Im considering adding racing stripes to the hornet. Im debating whether to go wit two 1.5 inch stripes down the bike or with one 5 inch stripe down the center. Either way i would like the color to be matte black. I used electrical tape in the picture I posted to get a better idea of what she would look like. Want to break up the green paint a bit. Need your opinions. Big decision to make. Thanks

I did mine with 1 wide stripe and additional thin stripes on each side, I get tons of compliments on the paint job

the single stripe would be 5 inches total. three inches for the center stripe, .5 inch space then .5 inch thin line.

That looks really good. You could always bring the three striper into a point at the very end of the fender.

That's similar to mine but I have a wider stripe in the middle and thinner stripes to the outside, almost pinstripes

Thanks SmokenJoe. That really does help. Actually looks pretty good. The decals should be in this week. Im going to try the wide center one with the two thin pinstripes first. Will try to keep you guys posted. Thanks for the input. Helps out a great deal.

That looks really good StrykenShane. I really like that look. Did you install the decal yourself or was it painted on? Look like it would have been hard to cut around the gas cap.

It's painted on, nice thick clear coat over it too, can't feel the stripes at all

Ok. Thanks. I will do the vinyl for now. If I'm still in to the stripes next summer, I will have them painted on.

Yea i think the vinyl will look great. Get it cut the length that you need and have it cut it different widths so you can keep changing it up and do different systle till you find the style your sold on.
