Does anyone know the path of coolant through the radiator? The reason why I am asking is I have the Irate radiator grille, and it has two mounting holes on the side of the grille (because it is for an older v-star). I would like to make a small hole in the side of the radiator to mount the grille, however I do not want to puncture any coolant lines. It looks like I would only hit the fins on the side, but I wanted to make sure. It looks like coolant may run in the vertical columns within the radiator but I cannot tell.

Worst case, I'll just use band-aids and duct tape to mount it...

Don't know about the flow of coolant but I would not take the chance of drilling holes. A little double sided tape and or silicone should do the trick. Tape holds on the gas tank accent so I'm sure it would hold up.
