I was wondering what type of rain gear everyone uses. My last set has worn out and I am in the market to have them replaced. I had a cheap suit that has seen better days. Is it worth it to spend the extra money on the high end suits. I would like to hear what everyone has to say 8)

You get what you pay for. I bought two value priced Teknic suits for me and my wife before our road trip a couple of weeks ago. It was heavy, oversized coat with small fitting pants. Her jacket had the zipper sewn in backwards (try doing that up on the side of the highway) And to make the best of it it didn't even keep us dry. The tag says 100% water proof. The jacket did its job but the pants soaked through especially in the a$$ area. Try riding 5 hours in wet underwear. Not very pleased!

I always by jackets that are waterproof and/or have a waterproof liner, with Firstgear rain pants (cheap) and waterproof boots. Keeps me (mostly) dry, never could find any decent gloves for rain though.

I bought a Frogg Toggs jacket years ago, it didn't last long :-/
