Re:gas caps
Ok guys, here is a possibly dumb question, but oh well... are the stock gas caps vented or not vented? If I understand correctly, the venting allows a small amount of air into the tank via a one-way valve..... however, isn't that along the same ideals of sticking a soda straw into the soda, only to see the soda being pushed up and sometimes out of the straw by the carbonation?? And Carlock, is this not the same issue you ran into with the RSD Gear cap?? The air pressure in the tank pushing some of the gas out via the vent? That issue there leads me to believe our caps are not vented. If I am wrong, please let me know!!! I am looking at replacing my gas cap, and depending on the cap, would I need to replace the steel bung as well, ex: a screw-on cap may need the bung replaced, etc. Thanks guys (and gals)!!!!!
