Can someone please clear up the confusion over the O2 mod I am having?
I am hearing put a resistor on the white wire to eliminate the surging? I am reading that this doesnt do anything? I am now reading just unplug the O2 all together? yada yada yada.

Someone has to have the answer? because the surging in second gear around 30mph, and in 3rd or 4th around 50mph is unacceptable. Please clear this up???????????

BTW I am running the Cobra swepts, cobra intake, and auto tuner.

I have all the same mods on mine and it clears up the surging, don't overthink it! you'll appreciate the results.
It gives a slightly false reading to the ECU that it's running too lean which causes the ECU to richen up the mix just a bit at low RPM's.
The bike is designed to run lean (EPA requirements on imports) and running lean at low RPMs is what causes the surge.

I unplugged my O2 sensor a few days ago and my lower gear surging issues have nearly completely gone away. 200 miles with it unplugged so far. Gas mileage is down, but much more fun to ride in the city now without the surging. No engine mods yet, so this may not help you elkslayer, but it's worth a quick try.

What mileage are you getting with it unplugged.

Roughly 32-34 mpg. I unplugged it halfway through a tank so I'm going to fill her up tomorrow and run it dry to find a more accurate mpg. I was getting 37-40 riding the same route to a friends home mostly highway.
Nuts, that's a significant drop. But I hear ya about the better ride. When the bike surges, it makes you look like a **** noob on the road. :p

Has anyone done the resistor and then later unplug the 02 sensor? Wondering What the difference between the two are?
I did. Resistor then unplugged. I noticed a bit more gas smell. I usually don't ride at the slower speeds to notice problems others have. My light usually came on at about 120. Now comes on at 116. I still ride hard as before and enjoy the bike and don't let a little surge bother me.
