How did you guys manage this? Man! Its like they're welded on there. Do you use an impact gun or something? They aren't reverse thread are they?

To remove the pegs there is just a cotter pin in a pin. Tf you are removing the mount I think it just bolts on?

I stripped a couple of bolts taking them off. Soft metal. I put them back on, but will be taking them off again now that I have a solo seat.

make sure you use a metric Hex. They have red Loctite on them.
after getting mine out I cleaned the Red Loctite off using a thread cleaner

I needed to remove the OEM pegs and mounts for my V Star 950. The Loctite is permanent. The only way I got the bolts out was tp use a torch to heat the them until they broke free with a ratchet with a long handle. Apply force slowly as you heat the bolt.

Took my passenger pegs off this week. Three bolts came out fine but on the fourth my t-handle hex wrench broke. The broke tip was stuck in the bolt head. I had to drill it out and in doing so I messed-up the bold head. Ended up drilling the center out and using a reverse dill bit (EZ-OUT) to get it out. It was a pain in the butt.

Yamaha definitely did not want these falling or vibrating out. They were all covered in lock-tight. Use a quality hex bit and take your time.
