I have my bike only with 1000 miles, i decide to open the holes hole in the original pipes and I did it last night, 4 holes 1/2" in each pipe. It' sound 3 times better (not 100% happy) but it sound good.

Now, this morning riding at the xpressway it was one of those big truck drivers that believe they are the only ones in the road, so i decided to pass him over and I speeded up up to 90mph and my Engine red Light Turned ON. i reduced the speed to 70mph again and i tried 80mph and the red Red Light show up again.

I'm kind scare about this. Do you guys have any idea what is it? and if is any danger about it?

Thank you.

Red engine light? are you sure its not the oil pressure light. That one is red. The oil pressure light will come on if the oil get just a tad bit low. A hard acceleration will cause oil to stay in the top of the engine longer and can set the sensor off. Check the oil level and add a bit. It has happened to me and oil was in the sight glass when the bike was level. I filled it to the top of the sight glass so there was just a little bubble at the top and its been fine since.

+1
Many on here including myself have had this happen. The oil sensor is very sensitive so if you just add a tad bit oil and you'll be fine.

yeah that puppy is sensitive I have my oil and 3/4 on the site glass if I start my bike and let it idle in the driveway for more then 5 minutes on the kick stand it will light up. On my next oil change I'm gonna fill it to the top of the sight glass so I don't burn out that light :p

If it was Fuel injection, light would come with a code on odometer.

I'm sorry. All you guys are right. It is the Oil Red Light.
I just have it back from the dealer at the first Maintanance so maybe they didn't fill it out correctly.

Thank you Guys !!!

Ok, so that oil sight glass is one of the few things I hate about this bike. What's wrong with a simple dip stick, Yamaha? So has anyone installed an oil pressure guage on a Stryker such as http://www.jpcycles.com/product/5700002 ? Sure would be nice if that red light comes on to just glance down at the guage and be reassured that you haven't been leaking oil the last 100 miles.

Most bikes now have the sight glass so its not just Yamaha. Pretty much unless it has a reserve tank it has a sight glass. I think a gague would look good if you could find one that would take the place of the oil check bolt at the top of the cylinder and not stick out to far.
