I have mine completely removed and I love the sound of it! I did not do it myself though. My local yamaha dealership did it for me.
Dealer is the one who recommended removing them completely for sound! I paid 100 bucks, money well spent after trying to drill out my friends Raider baffles unsuccessfully! And yes, I did notice a slight performance different for the worse but once I got my fuelpak it changed for the better! I don't know if it is the combination I have but performance is way better than stock for me now. Combination includes; hyper charger, v&h fuelpak, and stock exhaust with baffles completely removed.strykeralan said:they didn't whine about warranty? How much did that cost and do you see any performance differences?safetydanny said:I have mine completely removed and I love the sound of it! I did not do it myself though. Very true and yes you do loose performance once its done but I am very happy with the way my bike performs and I am almost always two up and I do not have problems keeping up with my buddy on his Raider while he is riding single. His bike is stock and I am right there with him! He also has his baffles completely removed if that makes any difference on this topic! Good luck and keep us posted!SmokenJOE said:keep in mind that back pressure affects performance so if you remove all the baffles you're gonna lose performance
