So I rush home from work to finally remove that accent piece that looks like a drunken toddler designed it. Well, the fishing line worked great, cut right through. Pulled the piece off and bam! I see this nice 3" long crease running down my tank! There are also 2 small dimples in the tank to align the front of the accent. From the pictures I've seen, nobody seems to have this problem. Did I get a lemon? Needless to say, I'm not a happy camper right now! Looks like the piece will be going back on now. Anyone else have this happen to them?

Sorry for the lack of pictures, can't send pics from my phone.

Mt tank had the exact same things, but painter fixed all that stuff when he took decals off and painted tanks for me.

Ok, I'll bite...I've been seeing this plasti dip stuff mentioned on here a few times but I thought it must have been a joke. Does this stuff really work? How durable is it? I've been thinking of going to the dark side on quite a few parts since my 2011reddish copper has a bike crush on the 2012 in same color:p Is this stuff worth using? And I'm talking about having my front fork tubes done. Surely this can't work for that. We gotta be talking powder coating there right?

The tubes are definitely a powder coat deal. PlastiDip is not a smooth finish. It's a rubber like spray that has a textured look. Most here have used it for just the plastic pieces. Anything that is subjected to racks or debris and metal I would powder coat.

Mine is exactly the same, but in blue. One day going to do a custom paint job, so I'll have them fix it as well. The chrome trucker cover, round, covers most of it, but my Low and Mean doesn't.
