Hey guys, I've got the Cobra swepts and I'm thinking about removing the baffles. Is this something I can do myself or would you guys me recommend I pay somebody? Mind you I can be a disaster with tools in my hands

I'm assuming it's as easy as the Vance and Hines. You take the heat shield off and there would be a small Allen wrench screw that holds the baffle in.

I have a friend who removed his baffles on his cobra swept pipes that he has installed on his Raider. He said it took him about 10 minutes. The thing sounds sick. It so deep and throaty now, it's ridiculus on how good it sounds.

I was also thinking about removing my baffles on my Vance and Hines Staggered Slash Cut pipes. I was wondering if it effects the performance of the bike. I have a Cobra Powerflow intake with a powercommander V installed and it runs great now. I also like the sound, but I'm just looking to make it sound a little more throatier.

Has anyone done this on a stryker with the pipes that I have? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I have the VnH twing staggered. It's not the same pipes as you, but i noticed a power drop. I do not have a Tuner however.

Removing baffles reduces back pressure so in effect, lost performance. BUT they do sound badazz.

nope, he brought it by last night, distributes heat really well and i was wearing shorts and couldn't feel it when i took it around the block

I pulled them out of my swepts before installing, rode it around the block and pulled it right back in the garage. Sounded terrible, no note other then loud.
