Hello.. I have a 2012 Stryker that I bought used. The guy who had it before replaced the stock headlight with a 5in Daymaker.. As you can imagine, the little 5 in light looks silly on the bike.. I would like to replace it with something else that looks good. Any recommendations on a replacement headlight and housing? I would like to stay with something LED, but do not want to break the bank.. I see lots of cheapo ones on ebay, but honestly am not sure where to start and what is good..

Any advice is appreciated.

The stock light is 5.75 inches. You're saying the light on there now is smaller?

Oh.. interesting.. Here are the pics. I took the bike into a shop here in TUlsa and the guy told me that it looked so "off" because the stock light is 7in and this is a 5in daymaker that the previous owner rigged onto the bike.. My issue is that there is a large gap between the faring and the light, and it just seems weird to me.. This is only my second motorcycle though, so that might be normal?

yea definitely not the stock light or housing. check out sscustomcycle.com. they have alternatives for you. unfortunately our headlight housings/buckets are not standard like a Harley so choices are limited. you could try to find a stock housing on eBay or buy new from dealers or anywhere on the internet. if you want aftermarket start with SS Custom Cycle and see if you like anything. most aftermarket buckets will need an adapter to mount it to the triple tree. You can also check out headwinds headlights. they have a lot to choose from and they sell the correct adapters (SS Custom cycle also resells these lights I believe)

the stock 5.75 will fill in the gap with the fairing pretty good. check the picture galleries here and on there are a couple of Stryker Facebook pages you can join to get ideas as well.

headlight

Check out SSCustoms. They used to have 7' harley bucket with adapter for our bikes. I wasn't happy with look of the stock headlight with batwing fairing so i upgraded to 7' with TruckLight LED headlight bulb. Pic 1 with stock headlight, 2 7' w/o fairing and 3 7' with fairing. I have to pint something out. If you decide to get 7' headlight bucket it's not plug-n-play. You will have to make a hole for wiring a but larger and make some bracket for air sensor.

You're from Tulsa? Right up the road.

Wow.. it's weird what people do to their bikes for no apparent reason. This thing looks very odd. One of these mods that should've never happened.

I was able to fit a 7" daymaker style light on my bike the other day with just parts sourced from Amazon, all in all I was only in about $120. It took a couple hours and beers but I'm happy with the fitment, my stock windshield is even going to fit over it, all I had to do was grind the mounting brackets fit around the bucket brackets. Now I just have to tint my shield and voila. This is actually my first post, I have been stalking this forum but finally joined. I've only ever seen 1 other swap from my searches, if there's any interest I can do a step by step, it was pretty plug and play once I had the parts.
