I am looking for anyone that has replaced the clutch plates on their Stryker. I have a 2011 Stryker with 45k. No issues as of yet but with Yamaha not making the Stryker any longer I am worried about parts and their availability later. I was thinking of getting new clutch plates and replacing them this or maybe next winter. I have the service manual and it looks like a doable job. My main question is that is shows removing the oil/water pump and and sprocket. Is that necessary, I prefer to keep as much intact as I can. I have rebuilt my shocks when they started to leak but I am by no means a mechanic. Other than the clutch holder are there any other special tools that my be necessary, or gotcha issues that people have had. Any help would be appreciated, also recommendations on replacement clutch plates.
