Here in Florida you can get caught in the rain even on the days when the weather man says it won't...it usually doesn't last long and after a couple hours riding you dry off....if I'm in city traffic NO! I find a place to park and wait it out...I don't have a lot of trust in cagers when it's dry much less in the rain.
Back to your question: No I don't enjoy it.

It is not bad at all, kind of fun! The bike cleanup on the other hand sucks!

well its good you guys like it, down here we have tards that drive only when it rains, the water falling from the sky amazes some people.. the last little storm some tard pulls over in front of me doing 50 in a 70 in the fast lane with no traffic around him.

For some reason do you guys notice people are scared of bridges? they slam on their brakes down here like the bridge was taken out while they were at work.. lol

My wife and i were caught in the pouring rain for over 2 hrs last sunday, the temp dropped from 75 to about 60 in half an hour. When we got home we literally poured water out of our boots. The bike is a disaster, and it has rained for a week straight, so washing it has been impossible. I personally hate riding in the rain. If i get caught for a short bit and then the rain stops and i can get dried off thats not bad. When we got home our rain gear was even soaked through the rain was so hard. I have a full face helmet and it was even wet on the top portion of my head. I have the la choppers open filter, the filter was oiled good, but after ten minutes the bike was stalling out, fortunately i had purchased a rain cover for the filer and after another 15 minutes the bike was back to itself again. I will have to say that it was the worst rain experience i have ever had in the rain.

I agree - the cleanup after a rain is very labor intensive. I have been caught in the rain 2 times this year already. The last time after I spent an hour washing and shinning my bike. Probably why it rained. Ha.

There are already enough Hazards on the road without riding in the rain IMO.

Back in the day I practically lived on my bike - But I'm an old fart now :) and with all the crap that comes with rain - hydroplaning, oil coming up, cagers that freak out over nothing.... I'd rather just enjoy the sunny days (and as been said...the clean up is tough...that road grime gets up into everything)

Unfortunately where we live it rains and snows the greater part of the year. So if we want to ride we have to be prepared.
On daily rides we often get caught in showers that have even turned to snow before making it home. We always carry rain and cold weather gear. You just never know when these mountains will decide to pocket up some moisture and dump it on you, despite what the weather reports say or if it starts out sunny.
We try to keep good tread on the tires but that's proven to be difficult too.
Keeping the bikes clean? Well that's just not an option at all. We wash them maybe once a month.

Got caught in the rain again today. Came out of nowhere. Bike is a mess…

What always grabs my concern is the oil lifting off the pavement right when the rain starts. I remember something about when it firsts starts to rain it's the slipperiest from my qualification class. Anyone remember this warning? I was thinking about it today,

Definitely remember that... reminded me of quote my old man used to say... "It's slicker than snot on Ice"

Don't know as if I ever tested that theory... but it's a catchy phrase... !

Isolated / pop up showers do present their challenges and hazards... we just had a pop up pea size hail storm...lasted all of 15 minutes... I had just pulled the bike into the garage before it started.

Ride Safe!

Living in Georgia, you either ride in the rain, or you don't ride. I ride to work every day, rain or shine, winter and summer. Rain gear is the key,,,, and decent tread on those tires.

there is a saying we have in maine if you dont like the weather wait 5 minutes and it will change, it can be mid thirties in the morning and mid seventies in the afternoon and rain, sun, and snow all in the same day just got to get out there and ride and wear gear.
