We need to say prayers for Nick, (straightjacket), Has had an accident. Hit a deer on his bike. Messed up pretty bad. I talk to him briefly a couple days ago but haven't been able to contact him since. Don't know many details but he said he had 2 broken legs, broken pelvis, broken ribs, punctured lung and more. I will try to contact him again tomorrow. Please ride safe everyone.

Thanks Toby, I didn't see that you had posted this.
It's actually pretty funny. I was in the hospital early on, got this phone call from Toby and was thinking man how'd he hear about this sooo soon? Hardly anybody new at that point? Turns out he butt dialed me, or I him? I was really loopy on pain meds at that point. I'm doing better now, will give you a call tomorrow.

Every one be careful out there, we see 10 maybe 15 deer any time we leave this hill in all of 30 miles. Gonna get a hunting license and start taking care of that problem. lol.

Good to hear you're on the mend. I'm sure with those injuries, it may be a bit before you're back on a bike, but know it will happen. Best wishes, man.

Wishing you the best SJ......sorry to hear the news........

I've tended to avoid my standard back road route to and from work during dusk and dawn hours, I've seen too many deer right on the side of the roads.......Always worried about them jumping out in front of me, especially around blind curves......

Wishing you a full (and as quick as can be expected) recovery......

Man does that ever suck. Good to hear you survived but you paid a high price for because of it. I had one hit our car this summer and the amount of damage it did to the car really spooked me when I thought about the effects of hitting a bike.

Get well soon.
