Hi. First I just want to say Im a Yamaha nut and my first Yamaha was a 1967 DT 250 two stroke twin I started rideing on the street in 1973. I have owned 27 bikes since then, mostly Yamahas. Some times I have had between 3 and 5 Yamaha's in my garage. but im down to one bike now. I had a head on accident in 2009 with my Patrick raceing "110" Roadstar Silverado. So I had bought a used 2007 Roadliner S. But latley I have been concidering a more lighter cruiser. I just also sold my custom 2004 FZ1 (I had 4 of them). Now I love the fact that the Roadliner and Raider are "113" cubes of hardley eating bragging rite BIG V-TWINNS. But in all honesty I have riden the Raider and Stryker and since I live in the GA mountians, just below blood mtn I have to say I like the Stryker much better. The lighter Stryker I can handle better. I was very surprized to see the performance boost with a cobra 2 into one pipe ,ram air kit and power pro tuner. I have this set up on my Liner, except the air kit is not ram ail,LOL. Any way, Im looking at the all black Stryker and giveing up the chrome this time around. I have owned just about every Yamaha they make as far as the cruisers go and a few sport bikes like the FZ1,a 02,03,06,04. FJR,09R1, ect. Getting over 80Hp from 80 Cu. Inches is pretty good for just bolton's and the power to weight ratio is worth the money. Im still a little weary on the tank size and im going to have to get a rear back rest and although Im using a blvd shield on my Liner now and will put one on a Stryker I will miss those dam big Corbin bags I have on my Liner as I ride two up alot. Rite now so far the numbers are way to low for me to trade in my Liner so Im going to have to start striping things off and selling them. Just like I did with my 2002 Warrior. But I just want to stop buy and say that it is not always the bigger bike that wins in the engine department. The raiders engine as far as im concerened as a motor head is a work of billet air cooled vtwinn art. But it is noisey and does vibrate on the higher speeds on interstate as it revs high. The Stryker I rode did not rev as high and was smother with higher revs to play with. I just need to call up Cobra and see if my Cobra auto tuner I have on my Liner will fit the Stryker? I don't do real long distance rideing like I use to any more on my bikes. I have a new SS Camaro convertable for that,LOL. Ill keep in touch .

Welcome Yammyboy. I remember those old Dts. My first "real" motorcycle was a 71
DT 90. In purple no less! Rode that thing to death! One of my favorites was the FJ1100 that I had for about 10 years. Put a lot of miles on that thing.

Welcome from Missouri
LOL. Nothing. But my post said, I had three to five Yamahs in my garage for many years. might sound cool. But haveing to decide which bike to take a ride on that day gets frustrating, ,WHY? Well it never figures I stop some where and wish I was rideing one of the other bikes instead,LOL. Of course the tires, oil and service all seemed to have to be done around the same time,LOL. That gets expensive. My new modified SS Camaro Converatable is my new sports bike replacement up here in the tight twisty turnes. Now I just want a smaller more flicable cruiser to putt around in.Now I understand why Einstein had only one color suits in his closet,LOL.

There's a guy on the stratoliner forum that is interested in buying a stratoliner or roadliner.
If your selling what are you asking for it? The guy is on vacation from work all this week

Welcome to the forum. I can attest to the Stryker being an excellent bike for tight twisty mountain riding.
I live in the pacific coast mtn northern Ca, above the redwoods.
The Raider would be too much power, I can't even use all the power the Stryker has most of the time up here. The liquid cooled motor is also a plus for hard riding up and down grades averaging 10 to 15% and some short stretches as much as 25%.
I went round after round with guys on another forum about how the Stryker is an easy canyon carver. Their disbelieving from the looks, the rake, specs on paper and the large front and fat rear tires. Let me tell you those are very deceiving to how it really performs and handles.
