Anyone drill the baffles on their stock pipes?
This guy on YouTube did and it sounds good for a cash strapped person.

HOWEVER......they didn't illustrate where on the baffles, how big the drill bit, and how many.

Anyone have information on this and perhaps a demonstration?

Many thanks and keep the shiny side up!

I did it day 1. Didn't end up doing it myself as I didn't trust myself to do it, but my father-in-law has a buddy at a bike shop that did it for me dirt cheap. Did 4 1/2" holes on each, plus a 1/2" in each baffle. Sounds fantastic.

What I did was drill the center baffles out first. I used a 1" hole saw on a 12" extension. Then a few weeks later, I used the same 1" hole saw to put a hole directly above each center hole. Both times made a huge difference. The best part is that the pipes still looked stock unless you bent over and looked above the center pipe. That way you don't have to try and make the 4 1/2" holes line up just to make it look good.

did it run poorly.
I did mine the minute I pulled it in the drive way, lol. I started out with 3 - 1/4" holes and it sounded like a moped on steroids...then went right to 3 - 1/2 inch holes, rode it like that a couple times and a friend said 'dam that thing is quiet" ... so I went home and drilled the 4th hole, much nicer until I get my Vance & Hines 8)
