If you can get to Randy's Cycles in Marengo IL on Sunday I'd recommend it. They have all the 2014's there and you can ride as many as you want. Plus the demo leaders weren't holding back and we hit high speeds(around 90) each time out to see what these bad boys could do. About a 12 mile loop for the test ride.
Rode the Cross Country, Judge and Jackpot myself. They were all nice(more below) but getting back on the Stryker just felt "right" to me. No new bike for me but down the road I would definitely check them out.
Cross Country: The floor boards wigged me out at stops since I'm not used to them. Had the short windshield faring and above 60 the buffeting on my helmet was distracting. Very nicely balanced and cornering was a dream especially considering I never rode a bagger before.
Jackpot: The foot controls aren't lined up like on the Stryker but rather a little to the inside. Totally missed a shift the first time
Once you got used to it though the ability to put your boot on the peg all the way to the heel was cool. No windshield on this one so when we hit it I almost flew off the bike and the wind was tough. Never realized how much the boulevard windshield takes off me... I also have to put the forward extensions on my mod to-do list.
Judge: Had a windshield so better in that aspect but seemed like a harsh ride overall. All the bikes have a solid clunk on the tranny and none are totally quick out of the hole but they have a big powerband with that 106. Plenty of power but slower to build it then the Stryker which is a little odd considering the motor size difference...
Highball: My friend John rode this one and was all smiles on the return. His quote was "This is a rocket and tons of fun. They are going to sell a lot of them".
