I talked to a motorcycle shop today about getting the following

Custom drag handlebar
Handle bar risers
Rewiring all front
Front turn signal mounted to new handlebars.
Bracket created for the speedo - will be chopping it up jn winter for custom

The quote was for 700. Any thoughts!

Labor seems reasonable. Parts are harder to tell since don't know what they are etc. Be careful there. Have seen people get too "reasonable" parts and have the chrome come off, rust etc. If at all possible make sure they are OEM quality or better. Having to redo the job would be costly.

BTW, have you had this shop do labor before? I ask since they are taking apart a fair amount and have the ability to drop ding many things. Also, is the labor a flat quote or an estimate on T&M? If just an estimate you could be out another hour or so but I'd rather that than them rush and mess something up. Just my .02

I think that's a good price but has this shop done this kind of work before? If he hasnt, you might end up paying for a learning curve. as long as it doesn't go over $800, your good.

This is the shop that put on my 240 tire for me. They are one of the only "custom" shops in town. They have several bikes they were customizing while I was there.

I just need to save some cash now :).

You're doing after the 28th right? Trying to make it and if so wanted to try out the 240 and extended front pegs if possible. Possible spring mods for me...

There isn't anything there you can't do yourself. Changing handelbars is easy. Only creating mount for Speedo. What turns are you going with? Follow wire to wire.
