I've been looking for saddle bags for the last week now and keep coming up short. I'm not sure on the size to get since I have no reference. I'm thinking 12w x 9 or 9.5 high and 6 deep slant throw over. Anyone have suggestions or pics and measurements of your bags?

Yea, I found one bike in the gallery with bags...I thought maybe someone had a little input on the topic, hence the suggestions and pics I asked for. All good though, found what I was looking for.

I like the classic leather with/without stud look bags and no backrest for smoother lines.
I found the perfect size for my Stryker at

They're small but hold just enough for short trips (Length: 12" Height: 8.5" Width: 6") of a 100 miles at a time which I usually do.
They aren't real leather but the man made ones look good and last better. I've had them on my bikes and love them. They have heat shields on the bottom and the back is hard plastic so you could even hard mount them or mount to a quick release system. I used Cobra Bag Supports.

About $80 total with shipping.

about 2 inches off of them when I first got them the wife and I went on a 500 mile round trip and didn't have any problems with the heat. I now have the slip on exhaust so I have more clearance I took that picture summer of last year. I only put the bags on when we take long trips

I mean the RIGHT bag gets warm.
Ok, I did think about the slip on too. I could probably go bigger like you with a lower exhaust.
Lot of variety of bag preferences from all of us, I just don't want to spend big bucks, like so many of our aftermarket stuff.
