Yesterday I saw a custom Harley riding with kickstand down on hwy. Rider was wearing all his non-protective Harley gear. I had to honk about 10 times to get his attention. I actually got butterflies in my stomach. I pointed to his kickstand then he fixed it.

I didn't get a pic because we were close to crossing over the mountain range with plenty of curves to ride thru.

There is something about the harley crowd. We have a dealer in town and I feel when I would go in i would get this feeling they felt like their better than everyone else. Dont get me wrong nice people do ride harleys but in general though.

I know what your saying, I went to a BBQ and I am the only only not on a Harley. If they don't ride up in theirs they pull their phone out and show me pics if it...WTH, I really don't care what they ride. Pics of a pic of a Harley rug or framed mirror really takes the cake. LMAO....
Then the {Hardcore Harley chicks} ask me for a ride......Sup with that?

And thats why I left town for the HD 110 to go to Iowa.
Yeah when the Redwood Run happens up here, we actually ride out and leave the area. It is just insufferable to be in my local grocery store, MY store, MY town, and have to put up with the 'tude.
I am sure these folks are normally very nice people in their own home town, and we have met a lot of cool harley riders. However when they come to Garberville, for the Redwood Run, something seems to happen to them. Perhaps they go thru a worm hole or something lol but they become completely different people and basically behave just terribly at times. A lot of the businesses have started closing on the weekend the run happens, same as they do when Reggae on the River happens.
I have heard from business owners that the possible sales is not worth the hassle of putting up with people who show little respect for the town, the space, and the folks who live here full time.
The RR 2 years ago was pretty cool, lots of really cool custom bikes. This year, very vanilla... lots of shiny stock harleys right off the showroom floor and usually backed out of a trailer once it arrives at the festival spot lol

No helmet, no safety gear, no safety features. Most of that crowd will do anything, even pay a lot of extra money, for a substandard motor design, just to have the so-called "Image."
