Do not do this if.
You do not like loud noises.
You do not like people starring at you and asking what exhaust this is.
If you want old people shaking their fist at you.

Do this if
You like making Harley riders jealous ;D
You like loud noises.
You want traffic to know your there.

Now seriously I did this I don't know what effects it will have on my bike. I currently do not have a tuner but plan on running one soon. It seems it has definatly gave me more power. Running the bike down the road it doesn't backfire really pops a bit. When Idled it does backfire and sometimes a few sparks may come out (this could be where it's welded). I mean cmon I have had choppers and streetbikes shoot 12 flames so know it will not hurt your motor as long as you don't change your air intake if you do I highly recomnend a tuner. I'm getting one anyway for mine because I want MPG.

Here is a sound clip "schimbo's exhaust mod" with a gutted cat.

Here is what happens when you do a inside weld on the pipe and don't give it time to settle. yes that is a piece of weld flying out the exhaust...at first it really scared me.

I left the little baffle inside the cat and the tips still have the plate (the thing we drilled into) so mine will be a little less harsh. I can alway drill the exhaust to make it sound different too

Yeah I kinda wish I woulda done that haha, but it's not that bad really.

My cat isn't 100% gone but I can look in the bottom pipe and see the 02 sensor LOL.
