Forgive my ignorance on this but....
Can you guys explain the difference between the Cobra fuel management systems? Am I correct in thinking that I need the Fi2000R to eliminate the deceleration backfiring? Will the others also take care of it? What if I change exhaust?.....so many questions.

There's an on going thread about Ivans' s performance tuning ecu flash, from all the reading and searching into other make/models of bikes he has "tuned" thru his ecu flash I'm sold on it. But there is also numerous threads on the different tuners as well.

If all you have added is exhaust you don't need a controller if you add a BAK then you do.....Cobra or PCV are both good units.........Oh and the bike backfires with the stock exhaust you just don't notice it.
Well that's not always the case necessarily. I have exhaust and BAK and mine runs perfectly fine with no tuner. There are lots of variables at play here like temp, humidity, elevation, quality of fuel, ect.

Granted I could make more power by throwing some fuel management into the mix...but it's not an absolute must.

There are plenty of threads on here about the topic of fuel management. Read through these and they should answer any questions you have.
