Well that's not always the case necessarily. I have exhaust and BAK and mine runs perfectly fine with no tuner. There are lots of variables at play here like temp, humidity, elevation, quality of fuel, ect.If all you have added is exhaust you don't need a controller if you add a BAK then you do.....Cobra or PCV are both good units.........Oh and the bike backfires with the stock exhaust you just don't notice it.

Can you guys explain the difference between the Cobra fuel management systems? Am I correct in thinking that I need the Fi2000R to eliminate the deceleration backfiring? Will the others also take care of it? What if I change exhaust?.....so many questions.
