Joe is still selling the forward control kit for $100.00 including shipping for us members. Mine will be waiting for me to install when I get home from work tonite. I wish someone had a you tube video on how to install the controls? I saw the pic walk through but a video would be awesome. Does anyone know if there is a video anywhere???

Just got home to find my package from Joe with the forward control kit on the kitchen table. Can't wait to get these things on! A video would be nice ,but after seeing the post with the pics and reading the instructions it looks pretty straight forward.

I read the instructions many times over multiple days and couldn't wrap my head around them. So I took them to the dealer and had them put on.
I used to turn wrenches in a bike shop during my hair scramble days and still couldn't picture it.

Can someone make a list of the size of sockets used to remove the nuts off of the brackets?? I tried using a 12mm on the bottom 2 on the brake side and started to round the nuts?? I stopped doing the install now until i get more info??

Check your socket, most everything on the bike is metric, 8mm,10mm,12mm. You might be using a cheap socket that is stretching or rounded on the inside.

Use a 6 point socket also whenever possible rather than 12 point.

I just got my Scootmods extensions... can't wait to put them on... on a side note... the guy at Scootmods is a stand up businessman! I ordered the day before a holiday... he expressed shipped them the same day so I would have them before I was going to deploy again!! Good company to work with!!

After I got it done, the paper made perfect sense.
Lol....yeah, because by then you already knew how to do it.

Seriously though, the directions for this kit are the suck....but the forum helped me out once again. Like the controls better now...took a day or so to get used to them.

jmcnite...I believe you are correct...righty tighty...lefty lucy. There is loctite on the bolts so it may be a little harder to loosen them the first time. If yu need more help just let me know.

Ordered my Scootmods today after all the positive comments on this forum.
I had ordered another option, but they kept changing ship date and is now mid-July, so I ordered Scootmods.
I exchanged a couple of emails with Joe, and did the Paypal deal.
He said he would ship out on Monday.
Can anyone tell me how long it took to receive shipment? I am Georgetown, TX.
I don't know where Joe is located.
The reason I am asking is I have appointment at my dealer Friday for something else, and I was going to have them put them on.
I also ordered the Kury swingwings at the recommendation of another member and thought dealer can do the entire deal.

I can't wait to get these long legs of mine a little more room!

It took 6 day's to get mine from the time of purchase.......

Very easy install with J&K's pictures and the provided instructions....The dealer will surely cost you more than the effort to install them IMO (assuming they'll charge you 2-3hrs labor)
