Guy at work has this on his Stryker for 300 miles, before he ended up totaling the bike. Not a bad score for $250! 8)

If there is any damage done to the unit, such as a broken seal, etc but the unit works you can use the clear silicone sealant and electrical tape to try and waterproof it. I hope there is nothing wrong with it, cause that is a great deal!! :D

I heard unbolting and lifting the tank slightly makes it a little easier.......

Pipes, commander, I guess now I have to buy an intake...

Yes, it does!! Just prop the tank up. One more thing, run your bike as low on fuel possible, makes it easier to prop up the tank. It won't prop up too much, just be patient with it!! And yes, I have one installed. :)

So my buddy came over and helped me install it today.......All I have to say is "Why did I not buy this 1.5 years ago when I bought the bike!?!?!" Throttle response is awesome, exhaust tone is awesome, no bogging or lugging.........I am in love...

ALmost came close to removing the baffles too...but I waited

Your choice, but if you remove the baffles, you will cause your engine to run lean. Even with the cobra unit, and this may hinder your engine performance. Some guys here have drilled holes in their baffles, and others have replaced the baffles, but not the pipes. But, as I said, up to you!! :)

Wyntress what are you talking about??? If he's running the Cobra auto tuner then removing the baffles won't cause the bike to run lean at all.

“Some guys here have drilled holes in their baffles, and others have replaced the baffles, but not the pipes”

A ton of guys have replaced their pipes including me with no lean issues. Heck i don't even have a tuner and I'm not lean at all.

When I was deciding to:
A) remove or leave in the baffles
B) install the cobra unit myself or get it installed,

The reply I gave came directly from the service techs at my dealership. It was my original thought that the unit would take this into account and adjust...however, the tech said that even with the cobra at unit, I would run lean if the baffles were removed. So, that is my basis for saying something. If what I was told by the tech is inaccurate, please completely disregard my prior statement!!! :D And I learned something as well!!! ;D

hmmm....what the tech told you completely flies in the face of the entire premise of the Cobra Auto Tuner unit. I have to believe that Cobra USA knows more about their revolutionary product than some dealership technician.
