The bike fell over. UGH I can't believe how well the bike held up for it laying on it's side though. The rear light, the clutch handle, and the gas tank were all scratched up. The few little things im not that upset about cause i can or was gonna change them all already. But what can I do about the gas tank? Any replacements that come painted already?

That would make me want to say bad words ( lots of them ) If the fuel tank is not dented it can be reprinted @$100 or so .Had mine reprinted 5 days after I brought it home didn't like the decals at all. I did the final polish on the tank and got done for $80 also had him shave off some on the plastic off the piece around fuel cap now it fits tight to tank.

I said lots of bad words all the way home. The tank looks slightly dented also, but I have a friend who paints autos and he said he will take a look at it. I think I will just remove all the decals while Im at it. Now it just means I need the buy the front fendor and chin scoop and get it all painted at the same time.

If it's dented there ain't anything anyone can do for that . You can find new tanks online there like $150 maybe get lucky and they will match your year color your just get it painted and installed. Covering it up with some new decals was a good suggestion. Only other suggestion I'll make is a little WD40 and a soft rag you can make scratches a lot less noticeable don't ask me how it works also if the damage is low on the tank look into a tank bib might cover it up

I think you left out a zero.
You might find an aftermarket tank that Might be fitted to the frame for under $500, add paint and all the fittings and you may as well get your tank fixed.
Even stock dented tanks online sell for hundreds.
A good body shop can repair yours.

Huh? You've got $50 collision deductible? Mine is $1000 cause $500 was like an extra $200 a year. You've got to be paying through the nose for that.

Hijacked the thread but I don't think the OP will notice.
+18.00 year for the comprehensive and another 70 or so for the collision. I have 6 vehicles and the motorcycle and with the same company+mil discount and perfect record.
