Actually I could reach flat footed with boots on with the stock height. I am 5'5" with a 30" inseam and skinny thighs. Kind of long legs for my height. Lowering it made it much easier to handle like backing it up while siting on it and a little more sure footed coming to a stop etc. My wife is 5'7" with a 28" inseam and thick thighs. She couldn't reach flat footed with the stock height. But lowering it 2.25 brought it down so even she can sit flat footed bare foot. With the 240 on it it is about 3/4 of an inch higher but she can still reach flat footed, I think even barefoot.
$50 for the lowering links vs $250 to $500 for a seat worked for me and I think the seat is plenty comfortable. Plus it looks awesome lowered and feels better from a shot mans point of view.lol.

Compared to the comfort cruise the factory seat really don't have much padding to remove. I am having new foam put in and a little work done to it, was quoted $75 for having it redone but that's more for comfort... I'm 6' with a 33" inseam

I'm 5'8" on a good day with only a 28" inseam. Before I couldn't sit flat footed at the light. So after the PCS lowering links at 2.25" and the LM Solo Seat at 1.25", I can easily reach the ground now that the seat height is 3.5" lower
