There are a few threads on here about different seats. I tried the mustang and hated it. I liked the stock seat, but, needed more back support for longer rides. I ended up getting the parts unlimited seat. I've really liked it. But, everybody's different. I put a few miles on the mustang and returned it, had to pay a small restocking fee. It's hard to tell what you like until you put a few miles on. Could also go the custom seat route. If you can't ride in the winter. Could turn your stock seat into a custom one.

I have the Comfort Cruise solo seat. Took a little while to break in, but now it's very comfy and comes up in the back enough to provide a little lower back support.

The Mustang seat is way more comfy than the stock seat but it does push you forward a bit. I had to get the 3" forward control mod & now the riding position is better than factory. The back seat is worlds better than stock which makes my wife a happy camper. With the extra padding & packsupport I've had many 200+ mile day trips with no numbness.

Thanks! I'll have to look into the 3" forward control mod, I'm tall and getting pushed forward 3 inches without compensating on the controls would not be okay. Not worried about passengers, I'd remove the that part of the seat- my wife has her own Star 950.

Also like to cast my vote against the Mustang.

Some love it but I was very disappointed. It pushed me up and forward way too much... I felt like I was riding a scooter.

I also have the scootmod extensions, so without those it would have been even worse.

I'm 6'2 as well.

The Low and Mean seat is near the same comfort level as the stock seat, maybe a little less (hard to tell because I tried it at the same time I got the L&M lowering spring installed)

I'll be trying the parts unlimited seat next for long rides. Can't beat the look of the L&M solo seat for short rides though in my opinion.

It's not just that the mustang pushes your legs forward...your crotch really starts to hug the gas tank. I felt like I was riding on top of the bike. I put on around 300 miles and couldn't get use to it. My butt was not a fan. But everybody is different. I'm only 5'10.

I know people have mentioned the parts unlimited solo seat but does any have the parts unlimited low profile solo seat. I think of one of those rwo seats, i like the backrest option on one and i like the added drop on the low profile. Just don't know if the low profille will be harder on the butt and back. Thanks.

When the Stryker first came out, the Ultimate Seat website had a link that said that there was a Stryker seat coming out soon. However, that link is now gone from the website and there is no Stryker seat available. Too bad, because the Ultimate seat is really a great seat for touring. I went with a Corbin and I like it a lot. I think it looks good on the bike and it is much more comfortable than the stock seat.

Thanks Ratboy, that is one nice looking seat, and it won't require me to move the forward controls. I'll look into it. Now, tell me about those nice looking low ride saddlebags.......... 8)
