Hmmmm.....that one I don't know. Maybe check the shop manual that is stickied at the top of the general forum?

I would favor the sensor only because I dont see a cable, just a wire connector.

Ok, go to the general forum and download the shop manual that is stickied there. At the very end of the shop manual is a complete wiring diagram. The speed sensor is callout 18, speedometer is item 32. Speed sensor has three wires from the looks, but they change colors at the connector, and those wires then go into the ECU. There is another set that come out of the ECU and into the speedometer. The guide for the color codes and index for the callout numbers on the diagram are on a page a few pages before the actual diagram. Now where exactly the speed sensor actually is, I have no clue.

Thx cw...so what happened. I was out the other day sitting at a light. Watching my mirror. This Honda civic comes hauling ass behind me. My instincts was to jump off the bike. Then all of a sudden he he brakes hard and stops close as **** to my bike. It was a dam kid, and notice he was texting on his phone while sitting at the light. Left arrow light came on and the kid bumped me, hit my rear end. Turned the bike off, he got out of the car saying sorry man, sorry man. I fuss his ass out and the only thing he was saying he didn't see my brake light. Pure ******* bad excuse. But make story short. I want to be seen more so I looked at these. A couple of bros of mine have them. I have it ordered. Should get it next week.

I have the regular version of this module and love it. It really gets the cager's attention which as we all know is hard to do.
Post how you hooked it up since if not too difficult I might consider upgrading considering the reasonable price.

Dude ~I have been rear ended just one time, thank God I was in my car. Now in my bike I have had (that guy behind me on a fast approach) happen to me and I have had a kid Creep up to me. She was texting and did not keep her foot firmly on the brake. The "Texting Creeper" happened to me first. Since then I dont sit at the light anymore "If I think I am in Danger" I will run the light in a heart beat! Be safe my friend.

That does look like a cool idea, and pretty reasonably priced. Post up once you figure out (or find out) how to hook it up. You can probably find the speed sensor wires going into the ECU, problem is which one do you actually need to connect to!

According to the shop manual pp. 8-113: the Speed Sensor cable is white/yellow (+) and black/blue (-). I'd look on the sensor itself towards the top of the gear box or behind the speedo cluster itself.
