Well let me say first I did do some searching but I couldn't find all the answers I was looking for.

I'm looking at getting either the Vance & Hines Big Radius 2 into 2 or the Cobra speedster swept exhaust. I'm also looking into getting the Low and Mean forced Air cleaner.

1. Does anyone have one of these set up already?
2. Which Fuel mapper did you use? Cobra or Power Commander
3. Cobra has two fuel mappers Fi2000R-02 and the Fi2000R, which one would be better for my set-up?
4. Will I need a fuel mapper for just the Air cleaner?
5. Seeing the Air filter is exposed to the elements will rain jack up the bike if I ride in the rain?

I know I'm asking a lot, Thanks for any help.

I'm in the process doing the same set up as Shane. Spending the cash and going for the Cobra CVT will eliminate a lot of headaches and costs down the road if you decide to make any other changes. If you only have the air intake, you do not have to have a fuel mapper installed. Lastly I don't think exposing the air filter to the elements would be a major problem.

Although I have not installed any performance mods yet I have done major research on the subject.
There may be others on this forum that have different opinions about fuel processors and different combinations of exhausts and intakes, but here are my thoughts.

As for a Fuel Management System it will be at least a Gen lll programer. Anything less is insufficient for our bikes. It will be one of the more expensive auto tuners. I will also spend the money to have a qualified tech install it at a shop with the proper equipment to test and set the correct perimeters for what ever combo of other mods I decide to use. Also to get all the warranties and guaranties to go with it.
Reason is , every individual bike burns fuel slightly different than the next one. A fuel map that works for one bike may NOT work perfect for another bike with the exact same mods

Here is an article for you to get started on learning about the different models.
You should research the subject thoroughly before making a decision. I'm sure others here will join in and share there experiences and links to info to help. I will also search form some of the other info I read and post it.
