Larry, welcome.
What you are likely experiencing is the normal shifter clunk of the Stryker. Nothing to be alarmed about. It's how your beast of a bike lets you know that only a manly man ( and some gifted women ) can ride this horse. With time, the sound of that slap into first will actually become reassuring. I'm afraid that changing the clutch release point won't change it at all.
Ride it and enjoy it friend.

I have a 2011 Stryker. Shifts real hard from neutral down to first at a slow roll. Has anyone had a success to reduce this clunk by adjusting the clutch adjuster nut at the hand grip. Has 600 miles on it.
Will help alittle. I have mine adjusted with the least amount of freeplay and is much better.

Larry - I had this EXACT problem with my Stryker just before I took it in for its 600m service. I mentioned the problem and asked them to look into it. When I got the bike back the mechanic mentioned that it was a bit low on oil and that might have had something to do with it. Sure enough the hard-shifting problem was gone. I now have about 4k on the bike and recently noticed the same issue and again solved it by adding some oil. This may or may not be your issue but it’s easy to check..
