How in the world do you get to shock adjusting ring? Trying to soften the ride.

I believe you need the bike on a jack. Then use the tool you should have received when you bought the bike to turn the ring the direction you want to go. I had the tire off when I did mine. That made it very easy. It should be set in the middle from the factory, and you can't adjust it much from there either way that would make a noticiable differance on the stock spring.

It's such a weird angle to get to it with the tire on. Tech said get to it from the top. Almost impossible.

You can reach it from the back, on the brake side of the back tire. It's a tight fit but it can be done.

No, the right side is the coolant. an allen key and a push button plug removes those panels.

Only instructions I can find are on page 4-14. Says how to adjust, not how to get to it.

Made the adjustment from the tire side. I put the special wrench assemble together and tapped down so would not come apart very easy. Looked in from right side cover to line up wrench in holes. Then pulled and walla, moved one notch, then another grab and kept it up till got down to #1. It did soften the ride some what. Big bumps are there but not as harsh. Smaller ones are almost negligible.
SO, well worth the discomfort for a few min. of work.
