I just purchased the cobra slip on for my bike and was wondering should I wait to install it until I get the auto tuner? Or will it run ok without for the time being?

Your bike will run fine without the autotuner. No need to wait before you put on your slip on. Don't get me wrong....you'll love the autotuner once you are ready! That's exactly the order I did my bike. Enjoy!

I just installed mine the other day(no tuner) and quite honestly was surprised at the sound. There is one YouTube video with the guy driving around that is pretty close to reality.
I had the center drilled exhaust and this is louder and deeper. She snorts, hisses and growls as you get on/off the gas but is calm once at cruising speed. I will say that there is noticeable popping on decel for me. Doesn't bother me and I had it before with the stock pipes(much more muffled in that case) but I'm also thinking a tuner might clean that up a little...
