It is my first bike with a belt and i need to install a side mount plate bracket from custom road 6. 8)When i remove the axel to put the bracket on do i need to worry about any settings for the tire or the belt or is it the same as adjusting a chain.

The belt adjustment is 10mm of play with 10 lbs of force when looking threw the little window on the lower belt guard.
