I think the first thing would be to decide what size bag you need. I have a tiny tool bag I hang on mine, and others (Toby lol) have put a small village on theirs.

any ideas, or experience on what the best sissybar bag would be for the stryker?
What sissy bar do you have - tall - short? You have to start there - if you don't have one yet then consider how often you will use it and how much do you want to pack - not trying to give you an answer but can't without knowing the particulars.

What were you using it for day to day use or going cross country. I usef to use a Kuryakin mini grand tour until I got saddlebags. It was good for taking my lunch and packing some extra clothes for weather change to go to work and back. Could even stuff a helmet in it if necessary. I have some pictures of it on my bike on this site somewhere if your interested.

I have the Kuryakyn version of that bag - I modified the webbed pouch on the upper inside flap so that the bag could accommodate my large laptop. It works great!

I have the tall backrest and use the T-Bag Convertible. If you pack it right it makes a great backrest and has more than ample space for tools, maps, keys, gloves, etc...and is big enough to drop a half helmet in with a change of clothes. It also has a built in rain cover and comes with the top roll and netting (which I have yet to use, but plan to soon). The only thing is with the pad I have it fits a little strange, but doesn't affect the function or safety.

I also picked up a T-bags, but I believe it was the expandable? When you need to carry alot you can because it doubles in size. But for just the day to day rippin around town or to work, I just used the roll off the top and put the rest in the garage?

I have the smaller Willie and Max sissy bar bag. Holds my 20z water bottle, kickstand plate, bungee cords/net, helmet lock, disk lock etc. Nothing else really fits but this is my daily bag for just riding around.
If you are looking for a weekend bag etc. others have responded. My .02 is that you might need multiple bags if you have multiple needs. Smaller looks better IMO but cannot really carry clothes etc.

Looking myself for solutions since I need a little more storage and don't want to wear a backpack all the time. In a pinch though, that's an easy solution...
Just not sure I want to go with saddle bags :(
