OK, This is the first bike I've done much work on so someone explain about slip on's. How do they work?, what's the expected change in sound, change in power etc. How difficult are they to put on? Slip on sounds like you just push em on and the ta da, new pipes. Can't be that easy right?

It is just that easy. They will change the sound close to what a full system sounds like but will not change performance. Good option if your not looking for performance upgrade.

you do get some gains with slip ons just not quite as much as a full system they are completely worth it though for the price. Its just like changing the muffler on a car couple of bolts and slap on the new slip on exhaust to the stock head pipes.

I just put on a universal slip-on muffler from Roadkrome. It was $68 on ebay, so you can't beat the price. It was a little to quiet with the original baffle in it, and it was too hollow sounding with the baffle completely removed. So what I did was make a custom baffle from some 2.5"I.D. car exhaust pipe. I just cut and bent out some slots and wrapped it in fiberglass. It sounds great and I can definitely feel an increase in power.

A nice slip-on will offer the best bang for the buck for sure. You will get some weight savings as well as improved air flow…just not quite as much as you would with a full system. I hope some more slip-on options come out for the Stryker soon.

Wanna say thanks crusier customs for the fast shipping, ordered Monday and on the bike (today) Friday. The looks department goes without saying (I can see the rear wheel now). ;D

The sound, well lets just say it dosen't sound electric anymore. Won't have the smart ass comment, is that thing running??? All jokes aside, it really has a nice deep note, with a sweet rumble...

I must say the $215.00 to the door was money very well spent... 8) Deff a good deal till I can fall in love with a full exhaust...
